Similar to the previous lots, it is printed in rich maroon, brown, and green hues. The obverse features the profile portrait of King George V wearing the Imperial Crown of India at right, with a matching watermark to the left. Serial numbers are positioned at upper right and lower left. The reverse displays language panels surrounding the denomination at centre.Situated on the southeastern coast of British India, Madras (present-day Chennai) served as one of the major administrative, commercial, and maritime centres of the empire.
