The Reserve Bank of India, Military Administration of Burma,100 Rupees, ND (1945), serial number B/16 327760, Ovpt. on India Pick 20,includes note reading "B.M.A notesin ordinary Res BK of India notes overprinted B.M.A",(Pick 29b, Jhun&Rez 5.12.2, BNB 507),in PMG holder 53 About Uncirculated, staple holes at issue, cancelled, closed pinholes, minor edge damage, only 3 notes in higher grade on PMG Census. Profoundly important and tangible piece of currency history. Sold by Order of a Direct Descendant of Raymond Newton Kershaw, who served on the East African, West African, Burma and Palestine Currency Boards. Kershaw was a member of the Colonial Office Currency Committee, advising the Colonial Secretary, and also found time to work on the Bank’s committees dealing with currency issues in China and in India (according to his biography by James Cotton on the People Australia website, from the National Centre of Biography).Subject to 20% VAT on Buyer’s Premium.
