Description

Reserve Bank of India, a presentation pack issued by the Reserve Bank of India and Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Ltd, including a specimen 100 Rupees, 1996, zero serial numbers, diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint and 500 Rupees, 1996, zero serial numbers, red horizontal SPECIMEN overprint, both with Chakravarthi Rangarajan signatures,these packs were produced and presented to delegates of the Printers conference in 1997 to display the new series of notes produced at the recently completed printing press that commenced operations later that year. The event also coincided with the celebration of 50 years of Indian independence.
