Description

Sensational Calcutta 50 RupeesINDIA. 50 Rupees, ND (1930). P-9c.This denomination is an iconic one for King George V notes. This piece will rarely surface and whena public offeringarises for it, bidding is typically very strong. This note shows the H. Denning signature along with the Calcutta location overprint on the lower part of the design. Pleasing color and nice paper body remains although a few scattered small internal splits are mentioned. A bit of graffiti on the face and back is present but is typical for the grade and type. A truly wonderful item which will surely be secured into only the finest of collections.Estimate: $6,500 - $8,500. Fine
