Description

INDIA. Government of India. 100 Rupees, ND (1917-30). P-10d. Jhun&Rez 3.10.2A. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.Bombay Circle. J.B. Taylor signature. "Bombay" in black font. A variety that we have not offered for at least half a decade. Fantastic paper quality with some ink stamps on the back, as is typical for this issue. Only one ink stamp is visible from the front. More importantly, the originality is strong, and the eye appeal is excellent. Much nicer than typically seen for circulated examples of this type. While note as scarce as the 50 Rupees of the series the 100 Rupees is still a desirable note surely missing from many collections. PMG Comments "Spindle Holes at Issue, Ink."Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
