Description

INDIA. Reserve Bank of India. 100 Rupees, ND (1996). P-91gs. Jhun&Rez 6.7.11.2A. Specimen. PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58.The third and final specimen offering from India in the present auction. Again includes a commemorative folder that has been encapsulated by PMG, but not graded. While we have mentioned the scarcity of these modern Indian specimens in the past few lots we must make special mention that this particular example is the sole specimen of this variety in the PMG population report as of the time of cataloging. One of those underrated modern notes that many people would (incorrectly) assume is common, but which in reality is a major rarity, and even the fact that we have three denominations in a single auction is highly unusual.Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000.
