Description

INDIA. Reserve Bank of India. 100 Rupees, ND (1950). P-41a. Jhun&Rez 6.7.1.1. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.Sole finest example. An incredibly difficult note from the Reserve Bank of India, issued within a few years of independence. This variety with series A. Not to be confused with later signature varieties, which are sometimes seen in Gem Uncirculated condition, this earlier variety is much scarcer. In fact, a look at the PMG population report reveals that this is the sole Gem example out of nearly 300 graded as of the time of cataloging. A desirable offering for the specialist of independent India, not to be missed, and one which we expect to see spirited bidding for. PMG Comments "Staple Holes at Issue."Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000.
