Portuguese India. Banco Nacional Ultramarino. 600 Escudos, 1959. P-45. Jhun&Rez 12.39.6. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.The next denomination of this popular series. Fully issued, with the typical spindle holes and staple holes, but still a more than acceptable example of this scarce type. A look at the population report reveals that this is one of just three notes at this grade level with just a single example finer. Even though it was issued during the waning days of Portuguese colonial rule in India fully issued, uncanceled notes are deceptively scarce in uncirculated grades. An important opportunity for the Portuguese colonial or India specialist. PMG Comments "Staple Holes at Issue, Spindle Hole."Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
