A pleasing Gem Uncirculated example of this scarce issue from Portuguese India. In 1959, this series was introduced, and at the time, six Escudos were equal to one Rupee. As a result, this series is in rather odd denominations to assist with conversions. Specimens of this series have always been rather scarce.
