Republic India, 1959, 5 Rupees, Persian Gulf Issue, signed by H.V.R. Iyengar, Z Inset, S.No. Z0 739674, (KJ & RR # 6.12.2.1), pin holes , exceptional paper quality, graded by PMG as 64 Choice Uncirculated EPQ, Extremely Rare. Note: A rare denomination of the Persian Gulf banknotes. It is highly collectable in the Superb Gem Uncirculated grades. An exhilaratingly well-preserved example with its vibrant orange colours intact as from the time of issue, which is usually the first feature to fade even without circulation. The Z prefix on this note identifies it as a "Persian Gulf Note" which the Reserve Bank of India circulated in Bahrain, Muscat  Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
