British India, King Edward VII, Uniface 100 Rupees , Lahore or Calcutta Circle, Dated 28 December 1904, Signed by O.T. Barrow, Green Underprint, EA Prefix, S. No. EA72 87031, (KJ & RR # 2A.5.2C.1), folds, stains, graffiti on the reverse, torn and taped in the center and at left, about very fine, Exceedingly Rare. Note: This beautiful example from the dual circle of Lahore and Calcutta, is of a kind that is rarely offered in any auctions, in any condition. Only a handful of pieces are known to be in existence. It bears evidence of being cut from the center and reattached, as was the usual practice of presenting and encashing from the banking system in those days.
