Description

British India, 1926, King George V, 10 Rupees, 2 nd Issue, Signed by J.B. Taylor, J Prefix, J45 Sub-prefix is Unlisted, S. No. J45 361822, (Type KJ & RR # 3.7.2), folds, stains, private seal mark of ‘UAWLU APR 17 1931 BASSEIN’, about very fine, Extremely Rare. Note: This 10 Rupees banknote bears the sub-prefix J45, which is not documented in existing catalogs. Sub-prefixes under the previous signatory, H. Denning, typically range from J01 to J39, while those under J.B. Taylor's signature are known in sub-prefixes J59 to J99. The identification of sub-prefix J45 under J.B. Taylor's signature represents a new discovery, suggesting the printing of notes in this series. Further research is required to explore this finding in depth.
