Description

Description High Grade Cawnpore 50 Rupees India Government of India, Cawnpore 50 Rupees ND (1930) Pick 9e Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 9.2.C PMG Very Fine 30. A prized note in any form and in any condition, and especially coveted with the Cawnpore city stamp. Featuring the JB Taylor signature, this variety has only one confirmed prefix, V/7. This example is only mildly circulated and unusually choice for the type. Completely original paper is noted, along with strong colors and a well centered watermark. The rubber stamp on the reverse only adds to the originality of this note. Perhaps as few as five examples of this Pick number have been offered in public auction in the past eight years. An important opportunity to acquire this very rare and quite beautiful banknote.
