The first series of Banco Nacional Ultramarino banknotes for Portuguese India are dated 1906. This rare and pleasing example was actually issued sometime after the printed date of 1906, as evidenced by the updated bank seal at top right. Good eye appeal and paper quality are seen through the third party holder. Minor rust and splits at the folds are mentioned for accuracy, although the body of the note remains virtually unscathed.
