Description

Description Outstanding and Very Rare 50 Rupees from 1920 India Government of India, Bombay 50 Rupees 14.9.1920 Pick A15c Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 2A.4.3B.4 PMG Very Fine 25 Net . The 50 Rupees denomination is not the highest denomination of series, but as is often the case, it is a key note and seldom seen today. This example, featuring the signature Denning, was issued through the Bombay offices of the Government of India. This large format note must have been folded accordion style, as evidenced by the vertical folds, but the overall appearance is surprisingly good for the type. PMG mentions restorations, which were tastefully applied and are not a distraction to the overall appearance. We have not offered any uniface 50 Rupees in the past, across all cities of issue, making this an important opportunity to acquire this very scarce type. View Certification Details from PMG
