Description

Description India Reserve Bank of India, Kanpur 100 Rupees ND (1944) Pick 20i Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 4.7.3F PMG About Uncirculated 55 . A famous and desirable variety of India's venerable 100 Rupees featuring King George VI. This is one of the few cities of issue to feature the front-facing watermark of the monarch, which was issued in 1944 or thereabouts. Also of interest, this is the third variety issued in Cawnpore / Kanpur. Just a tick of circulation is present on this example, which is tied for the finest grade in the PMG Population Report at the time of cataloging. Staple holes and spindle holes at issue are mentioned for accuracy. A rare note in excellent grade. View Certification Details from PMG
