Description

Description India Government of India 2 Rupees, 8 Annas ND (1917) Pick 2 Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 3.3.1A-G PMG Very Fine 25 . A desirable, interesting denomination created to bridge the gap from the 1 Rupee coin-denomination note to the 5 Rupees. Print totals were small in comparison to the 1 & 5 Rupees. Additionally, the letter in the prefix was actually used to identify the city of issuance for this denomination. This note has prefix A/3, which indicates that this note was issued via Cawnpore. Minor rust and standard circulation are mentioned for accuracy. A rare variety of a very popular note. View Certification Details from PMG
