Description

Description Finest PMG Graded French India Pick 7s 50 Roupies French India Banque de l'Indochine 50 Roupies ND (1936) Pick 7s Specimen. While collectors will recognize this design featuring the ornamental vessel and Governor Joseph Francois Dupleix, attention should be drawn to the blue color used throughout and the 50 Roupies denomination as issued for French India. While the 5 denomination from both areas of this series used this design, what was used for the 100 Piastres denomination was changed, with a much more striking color palette. Note signatures are seen on this Presentation Specimen with all original colors reflected wonderfully on the stainless French banknote paper. This example is tied in the PMG Census as the finest graded. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
