Description

Description India Bank of Bengal 100 Rupees 17.11.1857 Pick S93a Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 1A.3.10.4 Cut Cancelled PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20 Details . This very rare and desirable type is not more than 160 years old. 100 Rupees was an enormous sum in 19th century India. Accordingly, very few of these notes remain, regardless of grade or status. This was a fully issued note that was severed and cut cancelled. It has been repaired, redrawn, and reattached, but the overall visual appeal is still quite good, all things considered. This is the first we have offered, and only the second example to cross the auction block in the past decade.
