Description

Description India Reserve Bank of India 100 Rupees ND (1937) Cawnpore Taylor Pick 20g. Cawnpore or Kanpur? Both refer to the city in Uttar Pradesh. The city experienced a name change, similar to how Kolkata is the new name for Calcutta and Bombay is known today as Mumbai. The only difference is that the city received the change relatively early, which is reflected even on these 100 Rupee notes. This is a pleasing problem free example bearing the Taylor signature.
