Description

Description India Government of India 5 Rupees ND (1928-35) Pick 15b Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 3.5.2 PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ . Issuance of the large sized tan 5 Rupees ended in or about 1933, which was the first year of release for this smaller 5 Rupees note. Two signature varieties are known for this design, of which this is the latter. Q is a split prefix for this denomination. This note has staple holes at issue, but is otherwise fresh, original, and worthy of its Gem designation. Rare as such. From The Thomas Collup Collection View Certification Details from PMG
