Description

Description India Reserve Bank of India 2 Rupees 8 Annas ND (ca. 1937) Pick UNL Front and Back Photographic Proofs PCGS Banknote Choice UNC 64 (2) . This beautiful pair of Photographic Proofs represent a banknote that never came to be. There was only one instance of a 2 Rupees 8 Annas banknote that was issued in the 1920s. Although PCGS indicates this note is from the era of 1920s-1930s, it could not have been made any earlier than 1936/1937, at which time George VI became Emperor of India. Possibly unique and a very interesting pair. Each side is matted for rigidity on cardstock. (Total: 2 notes)
