Description

Government of India, Victoria, Uniface, 500 rupees, 1st issue, Green underprint, Calcutta circle, dated 14th April,1880, Sign cut in Zigzag fashion, top middle cut like a vase, serial no.: P11 21795, Type J&R 2A.6.1A. Note is in 3 halves and stuck together. Ink annotation on Obverse & Reverse, Very fine, Extremely rare. Overprinted CANCELLED in big bold chop marks vertically across the note 10 times. Four punched holes in the middle and 1 on top middle of the note. Reverse has 3 black chop marks viz. W and 13-9-82 on top left, T and 28-8-82 on mid right & S and 29-8-82 on bottom right. This chop marks shows that this note was 3 times deposited in the bank and was re-issued.
