Bank of Bengal, Rupees 100, Type 7, Calcutta, hand signed and dated 10th January 1842, Personified 'Commerce' sitting on articles of merchandise in centre above the central panel, value denoted in Bengali, Persian and Kaithi above 'Commerce' in words and numerals, hand written serial number in English placed on top right and left corners. Denomination changed to read Company Rupees in Devanagari, English and Bengali scripts on the reverse (J&R 1A.3.7.6). Good, Very Rare with signature uncut.
