Government of India, Uniface, 100 rupees, 1st issue, green underprint, Calcutta circle, dated 13 April 1880, sign cut in zigzag fashion, serial no.: P10 51041, note is in 3 halves and stuck together. Type J&R 2A.5.1A. Very fine+, Extremely rare. Overprinted CANCELLED in big bold chop marks vertically across the note 10 times. Four punched holes in the middle and 2 on top middle of the note. Reverse has 3 black chop marks viz. T and 7-6-82 on mid right, S and 28-6-82 on bottom right & S and 28-6-82 on lower bottom right. This chop marks shows that this note was 3 times deposited in the bank and was re-issued. Similar 500 rupees note was sold in our Auction 33, Lot 617 at Hammer Rs. 5,00,000. This note is better specimen than the previous one sold.
