Description

Indo-Portuguese, Dez (10) Rupias, 4th issue, 1929, Banco Nacional Ultramarino, black overprint ‘Decreto No. 17154' in bold letters, with prefix ‘A’ and a third short signature (R&J 12.23.1). A center hole, Very Fine, Extremely Rare. Banknotes dated 1st January 1924 were issued in 1929 by adding the prefix ‘A’ and overprinted in black ‘Decreto No. 17154’. An additional third abbreviated signature is seen in lower serial number panel (next to the steam ship). The usual notes with the red Decreto no. in red do not have the short signature.
