Government of India, King George V, 1000 Rupees, uniface, Bombay circle, dated 2 June 1913, serial SB/15 54146, signed by A. M. Brigstocke (Controller of the Currency). Green underprint '1000' behind 'GOVERNMENT OF INDIA'; the denomination in English and vernacular scripts across the top; "Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the sum of One Thousand Rupees", "For the Government of India" with the Controller's manuscript signature; large 1000 RUPEES medallions in the corners.
