Both sides of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino's 5 Rupias of 1924 are offered in this lot. In fact, the Specimen numbers match, indicating that this pair has remained together since printing. Brown hues were used for this trial, as opposed to green which was used for the issued banknote. Notice that this is the first variety for the design, without "Decreto No. 17154" in the upper left panel at front. Rare in this interesting format, as PMG has graded only two complete Color Trial uniface pairs at the time of cataloging. Each side features Thomas de la Rue ovals and a Specimen number in the bottom margin. PMG mentions stains and mounting remnants.
