The front has floral decoration on either side of the portrait panels; on the right, the portrait of King George V faces a mirrored watermark portrait on the left. On the back is the central obligation, backed by guilloches. Spindle holes, staining, and annotations, as noted on the holder, evidence the note's circulation. This type was susceptible to damage due to the thin paper used.
