Description

INDIA. Lot of (2). Reserve Bank of India. 10 Rupees, ND (1985). P-60i. Jhun&Rez 6.4.8.5B. Duplicate Serial Number Errors. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.A rather common note from India produced in the 1980s that would probably find themselves in so-called junk boxes of many dealers. However, a careful observer will notice that both notes carry identical prefix and serial numbers. The numbering barrels probably got stuck while these notes were produced, creating this extremely rare and unusual. This is the first we have seen for India, and we can't say we have seen that many from other countries either, as these are typically quickly noticed and not released into circulation. PMG Comments "Staple Holes at Issue" on both notes.Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
