BURMA. Government of India - Burma. 5 Rupees, ND (1937). P-1a. Jhun&Rez 5.1.1B. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.Overprint on India P-15b. While not the earliest note for British Burma it is the first example listed as such in the Pick catalog, further increasing its popularity. It's been over two years since we last offered an example of this type, and that was in the same grade as the present offering, although we would argue that the eye appeal is better on this piece. Just a handful of notes grade finer in the PMG population report as of the time of cataloging and we suspect that they are in strong hands, making this an important opportunity for the specialist. PMG Comments "Spindle Hole at Issue, Staple Holes."Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
