Description

Hyderabad State , 1000 Rupees, Tir Month, FE 1341/1931-32 AD, Signed by Hyder Nawaz Jung , Sign. 2, S. No. AA84294, " Currency Note Sarkar-e-Aali" , promise text in three lines "EK HAZAAR RUPYE SICCA OSMANIA" in words in the center, Siyaq in top left at the reverse, all in Urdu, (KJ & RR # 7.12.1), spindle and pin holes, great paper quality, crisp, minor fold visible, AU-UNC, Extremely Rare. Note: This grand-sized banknote in this superb quality is amongst the most admirable specimens we have handled. It exhibits vibrant colours with a pleasing eye appeal. These were printed by Waterlow & Sons in London for India's largest and richest princely state Hyderabad, which was allowed to issue its own currency until the independence and reunification of India. These banknotes in high grades are very popular worldwide and are going into extinction.
