Bank of Bengal, 100 Sicca Rupees, Calcutta Circle, Dated 10 th February 1825, S. No. 9792, 'CANCELLED' stamped & with cut signature, Obv: the personification of "Commerce" sitting on articles of merchandise in the center, Bank of Bengal written in ornamented panel on the left in Bangla, Persian and Hindi, date and Calcutta in promise text, date on left above promise text panel, serial number placed on the top-right and left corners, denomination in numerals and words in Bangla, Persian and Kaithi above promise text, denomination “One Hundred” in bold English letters in a panel on the lower-left, entered by signature and “For the BANK OF BENGAL”, Rev: legend “ BENGAL BANK” in gothic style and name of the printer on the top oval and type of plate in the lower oval within an ornamental panel, ink annotation, torn and taped in the center, (KJ & RR # 1A.3.3.4), cut and reattached at center, holes, folds, stains, graffiti, about very fine, Extremely Rare.
