Bank of Bengal, 10 Company Rupees, Calcutta Circle, Dated 15 th August 1855, S. No. 34957, 'Cancelled' handwritten in red ink & with cut signature, Obv: the personification of "Commerce" sitting on articles of merchandise in the center, Calcutta in promise text, two pre-printed dates in promise text panel on either side, serial number placed on the top-right and left corners, denomination “TEN” in bold English letters in a panel on the lower-left, entered by signature and For the “BANK OF BENGAL” , Rev: denomination in bold English letters in the center with Persian, Kaithi and Bangla on either sides, ink annotation, (KJ & RR # 1A.3.9.1), holes, folds, stains, choice extremely fine, Extremely Rare. Note: An excellent note of high quality which has maintained its original colour, overall a very neat and gorgeous example.
